New wonderful discovery that emerges from history of the English Full
Moon Scientists (more about them in BlowUp #204) this "Moon Ark Is Go", originally produced by Steve Rowland 25 years ago with the late Kevin Walsh, now fully remodelled by Rowland with the mysterious Howard Katzenberg.
A jam where the rhythmic/atmospheric flavors typical of the duo are thinning in favor of a very intense ambient jam.
The opening is entrusted to "Setting Sail In The Shadow Of The Earth", a divine invocation of the environment with an intro of animals from the savannah and drafting then on a compassionate and sidereal wind lapped up in the queue by showers. "Mare Humorum Lunar Midnight" appears in an equally mysterious/naturalistic space and come off on a low treefrog that soon goes into regal vibrato, with twists and spaces and holy halos very Irresistible Force.
"High Noon 25,000 ft Over The Doerfell Mountains" explores the vacuum ravines between reverberations, clangers, precipices and possible new croaking, before outlining in the queue in an elegy to Eno and immediately make it wrecked, "Moon Drop Mare Nubium" brings with it percussive strokes and some melodic drops but in an ambient rarefaction dominant dub that then splits between the twilight dust of "The Lone Lunarite Peak Of Piton" and the more rhythmic frame of "Pacha Mama Moonshine Base". Final in algid tripartition: very rarefied "Gloaming Through The Van Allen Belt", dark "Crossing The Mare Ibrium, Sea Of Showers", fibrillating light "Anchor And Hope At Mare Tranquilitatus".

Full Moon Scientist combined dub, breaks, ambient, sampledelica, and a very typical British humour.
Catching the attention of Leftfield's Neil Barnes & Paul Daley, who subsequently signed them to their legendary 'Hard Hands' label.
They recorded their debut 'The Men in White Coats', a few singles, and a mini album for Hard Hands, before moving to Botchit & Scarper.
